Medium to large trees, 7-15 m tall. Leaves decussate, simple. Inflorescences terminal and axillary, cymose Inflorescence. Fruits with elongated lenticels; two or one seed per locule, fusiform, winged.

This species occurs in Andrafiamena Andavakoera (Cat. V), Ankarana (Cat. IV) and Loky Manambato (Cat. IV) Protected Areas.

It is not reported in ex situ collections (BGCI 2022).
