Herbier Valiha perrieri

Belongs to the ditypic genus: V. diffusa and V. perrieri; Subfamily: Bambusoideae; Tribe: Bambuseae.

Slender bamboo; culm with thin walls. Leafy branches bearing inflorescences, with long tips, glabrous. Inflorescence concealed in uppermost leaf-blades. Spikelets disarticulating below the second upper glume; lowermost glume, with scattered pale hairs on the back. Very young fruit slender, glabrous.

The two species differ in the hairiness of the transitional glumes and lemma.
